Connect to Owncast

Tell Owncast where to send emojis and chat messages:

  1. Go to your Owncast admin webhooks page by clicking here → /admin/webhooks
  2. Click the Create webhook button
  3. Paste this webhook URL:
    https://beta.smol.stream/webhook//
  4. Check "When a user sends a chat message" and "When a message visibility changes"
  5. Click OK to save

Add to OBS Studio

For each overlay you want to use, add a new Browser Source in OBS (Sources panel → + → Browser), then paste its URL into the URL field:

We recommend setting the dimensions to fill your OBS canvas: usually width = 1920 and height = 1080. You can adjust these values to fit your layout.

💬 Chat Overlay
https://beta.smol.stream/overlay/chatoverlay/your-token/...

When unsure, start with width = 450 and height = 700, then adjust as needed for your layout.
